Avignon, France, 11-16 June 2016, Palace of the Popes
The International Society for NonParametric Statistics (ISNPS) was founded by Michael Akritas, Soumendra Lahiri and Dimitris Politis in 2010 with the mission "to foster the research and practice of nonparametric statistics, and to promote the dissemination of new developments in the field via conferences, books and journal publications."
The nature of ISNPS is uniquely global, and its international conferences are designed to facilitate the exchange of ideas and latest advances among researchers from all around the world in cooperation with established statistical societies such as the Institute of Mathematical Statistics (IMS) and the International Statistical Institute (ISI).
Following the successful ISNPS Conferences in Chalkidiki, Greece and Cadix, Spain, the 3rd ISNPS Conference will take place in the international conference center of the Palace of the Popes in Avignon, France, June 11th -16th, 2016.
Like the preceding conferences, the 3rd ISNPS conference will put together recent advances and trends in several areas of nonparametric statistics. The conference will be a perfect place to facilitate the exchange of research ideas, promote collaboration between researchers from all over the world and contribute to the further development of the field. The scientific program (scheduled from June 12th to the 16th with a pause on the 14th) will include plenary talks, special invited talks, invited sessions as well as contributed talks and posters on all areas of nonparametric statistics.
The Machine Learning for Big Data Chair will be well represented, with the participation of:
- Patrice Bertail, Université Paris-Ouest-Nanterre-La Défense, co-chair of 3dr ISNPS conference
- Anne Sabourin, Telecom ParisTech, Paris, France; organiser of the session: Multivariate and Infinite Dimensional Extremes: Recent Advances
- François Roueff, Telecom Paris-Tech, Paris, France; invited speaker in the session: Locally Stationary Processes
- Joseph Salmon, Telecom ParisTech, Paris, France; invited speaker in the session: Nonasymptotic guarantees in high-dimensional statistical inference
With already 400 registered attendees, this 3rd Conference is already bound to be successful!
