Since its inception in 1985, AISTATS has been an interdisciplinary gathering of researchers at the intersection of artificial intelligence, machine learning, statistics, and related areas. For this 21st edition (AISTATS 2018), that will take place from April 9 to 11 2018 at Playa Blanca, Lanzarote, Canary Islands, four articles will be presented by the Chair researchers : Stephan Clémençon, Robert M. Gower, François Portier, Olivier Fercoq, Alexandre Gramfort et Joseph Salmon.
Tracking the gradients using the Hessian: A new look at variance reducing stochastic methods.
Robert M. Gower, Telecom Paristech; Nicolas Le Roux, Google Brain; Francis Bach, Inria / ENS
Stochastic algorithms for entropy-regularized optimal transport problems.
Brahim Khalil Abid, Ecole polytechnique; Robert M. Gower, Telecom Paristech
Beating Monte Carlo Integration: a Nonasymptotic Study of Kernel Smoothing Methods.
